Ellen’s most recent publications include the provocatively titled anthologies Dirty Words: A Literary Encyclopedia of Sex and Bad Girls: 26 Writers Misbehave. On Friday, October 31, Ellen Sussman will offer a writers workshop in room 300 on the College of the Redwoods campus from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Her topic will be Point of View: Who Tells the Story. Sukari, Min Van, in translation means Sukari, My Friend. • Molly Dwyer, author of Requium for the Author of Frankenstein pitched to Elise Proulx, an associate at the SF/LA Frederick Hill/Bonnie Nadell Agency this summer at the Mendocino Coast Writers Conference. They’ve reached an agreement and Elise will be representing Molly’s novel and future work. Proof that networking at conferences does work! • Gayle Greene, who also attended this summer’s MCWC sends news that her book Insomniac will be published in the U.K. this month by Little, Brown. Allegra Fisher, now a senior at Mendocino Community HS has organized a cadre of young novelists on the coast to participate in the upcoming November National Novel Writing Month, also known as NaNoWriMo.
