PRODUCT INFORMATION
Typical Use
Cuprinol Trade All Purpose Wood Filler is a quick drying, tough, durable wood filler for
general wood repairs indoors and outdoors. Easy to use and long lasting, it flexes with the
natural movement of wood making it ideal for use on windows, skirting boards and other
wood surfaces. It is suitable for sanding and painting, staining or varnishing when dry. It is
not suitable for gaps between floor boards.
Before preparing any surface for painting, read the Safety, Health and Environmental information on page 2 about old lead-based paints. Codes according to the
Product as supplied: Assigned as non-hazardous waste code 08 04 10 waste adhesives and List of Wastes
sealants other than those mentioned in 08 04 09. Part-used containers, containing dried residues of the supplied product: Assigned as non- Regulations

"Rigorously scraped out" means removing the maximum amount of product from the container by physical or mechanical means (draining or scraping) to leave a residue or contamination that cannot be removed by such means. These codes have been assigned based on the actual composition of the product both as supplied and as dried residues. If mixed with other wastes, the waste codes quoted may not be applicable. Application Method
Tub and Tube: Pallet knife. Cartridge: Apply using a cartridge gun. Drying Time
Allow up to 2 hours for the product to dry. Cleaning Up
Reseal after use. Protect from frost. Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before washing with water. HOW TO USE
APPLICATION
Tub - Ensure surfaces are clean and dry. Stir well before use. Apply using a wet filling knife. For deep holes build up in
layers, allowing each layer to dry. Leave proud and when completely dry (normally 2 hours) sand down and dust off. Finish
with stain, varnish or paint. When overpainted, stained or varnished the filled area may differ in colour to the surrounding
area, therefore we recommend filling and finishing a small test area first to ensure that the appearance is acceptable. Do not
use with wood dye.
Tube - Ensure surfaces are clean and dry. Knead tube to mix contents. Apply using a wet filling knife. For deep holes build
up in layers, allowing each layer to dry. Leave proud and when completely dry (normally 2 hours) sand down and dust off.
Finish with stain, varnish or paint. When overpainted, stained or varnished the filled area may differ in colour to the
surrounding area, therefore we recommend filling and finishing a small test area first to ensure that the appearance is
acceptable. Do not use with wood dye.
Cartridge - Ensure surfaces are clean and dry. Cut the nozzle to the required width and place into cartridge gun. Apply
along or in the repair area, smoothing with a wet knife where necessary, leaving the filler slightly proud for sanding. For deep
holes (greater than 5mm deep) build up in layers, allowing each layer to dry. Leave proud and when completely dry

(normally 2 hours) sand down and dust off. Finish with stain, varnish or paint. When over-painted, stained or varnished the filled area may differ in colour to the surrounding area, therefore we recommend filling and finishing a small test area first to ensure that the appearance is acceptable. Do not use with wood dye. For breaks in between filling release trigger on cartridge gun to avoid overspill. DECAYED WOOD
If wood is severely damaged or decayed, or for deeper holes, use Cuprinol Trade Ultra Tough Wood Filler. In the case of
decayed wood, Cuprinol Trade Ultra Tough Wood Hardener may also be required.
PAINTS AND WOODSTAINS
The filler will accept paints and woodstains such as Cuprinol Trade and Dulux Trade Woodstains, although the degree to
which it may show through will be influenced by the preparation, the nature and characteristics of the wood as well as the
type and application of the woodstain. Try a test area to ensure satisfaction before proceeding.
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION
WATER-BASED FILLER
Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
When applying it is advisable to wear eye protection.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser.
Do not use solvent, thinners or white spirit.
Keep out of the reach of children.
If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.
Do not empty into drains or water courses.
Application cloths and solied cleaning rags may self ignite without warning. Dispose of safely to avoid fire risk. Lay out flat
in single layers to dry or wash out well with warm soapy water before disposal.
Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.
Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they
