A 63 year old African-American woman, recently diagnosed with breast cancer, is scheduled to receive combination chemotherapy consisting of IV fluorouracil (5-FU, Adrucil), doxorubicin (Adriamycin), and cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan). This therapy is designated by the acronym FAC (fluorouracil, Adriamycin, Cyclophosphamide).
