Guidance on Risk Assessment and Stroke Prevention for Atrial Fibrillation
(GRASP-AF). I have helped to introduce this national computer based NHS
Improvement tool to Grosvenor Road Surgery. It helps us to identify those patients
at a higher risk of a stroke who should be on Warfarin.

TEACHING
Current
As a GP Registrar I have taught medical students within joint surgeries which I find both enjoyable and challenging – good to keep me on my toes. Within the VTS group I have regularly presented on various topics including Febrile Convulsions, Pelvic Pain and Addison’s Disease. _______________________________________________________________________________

MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
2002 - 2003
Sports Club Captain of United Bristol Hospitals Sports Club – this involved
meetings with President, Treasurer and other Club Captains of UBH Sports Club
and management of the club accounts as well as organising fixtures and social
events
Committee member of Bristol medical students society (Galenicals) – I
attended regular committee meetings where we discussed curriculum development
including planning of the new ‘Academy’ setup and student welfare
Assistant/Head Chef - worked for Skiworld for 5 months in Val d’Isère, France.
Promoted to Head Chef after 2 months which involved managing the kitchen in a
Chalet Hotel for 41 people.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

My spare time over the last few years has largely been dictated by moving country (2006), getting
married and renovating a house (2007), becoming a father (2008), and passing exams (2009-2010).
In between times I enjoy cooking, walking, road cycling and spending time with my 2 year old son
William. Skiing is a passion of mine, which I hope to return to next year. Having played football at a
high level up to University I still play 5aside once a week.
