Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Dongla Hospital is a referral hospital serving all
the Northern province. The total number of beds in the hospital was 200; 60 of
them in the Obstetrical & Gynaecological department. There were four other
consultants in the hospital; physician, ENT and an ophthalmologist. The total
number of deliveries in the department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology was
Consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist, Wad Medani Teaching Hospital,
Sudan. The total number of beds in the hospital is 900. It is the main central
State Hospital including all discipline of medicine. The total number of beds
in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology is 120; total number of
deliveries per year is 3000- 4000. It is well equipped department serving Wad
Medani town and the rural areas around it and at the same time receiving
referral cases from the rural and provincial hospitals in the central state. There
are 6 consultants, 6 registrars and 10 house officers. My unit has a total
number of beds30; tow registrars and two house officers.
