Karina is a beautiful Achuar Princess. I am so happy that God has brought us another Achuar child to care for and love. The Achuar people are strikingly beautiful and handsome, as well as being a very proud and independent tribe. Karina came to us very mal- nourished and she has many of the same problems that Marlin had. She responds to light and dark but her eyes do not follow. She has some reflux that for beautiful children of God will be placed with mommies and now is being treated by medication and she is re- sponding well. We are not sure yet as to the extent and severity of her thorns but I am assured by the Word that God is in control and His work is perfect. Please pray that through this child, God’s Truth will imagine how at home I will feel in Heaven. He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His
ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, more expenses. Please pray

about becoming a monthly sup-porter. We are now caring for 34 children. 15 are in school. There was a group here recently that built the foundation of the first building on the property that will be the home of Casa de Fe. While hav- ing a devotional time with them, Celeste shared what a missionary in Shell told her. The missionary remembered that I had said , 4 years ago, while standing on the back with us on the weekends. Please pray for him to adjust property— that God was going to give this land to build a home for the children. They agreed in faith, but their minds said, “yea right”. Three years later, though we
still had not paid for the land, I told the same person, “and God is going to send a
family to help with the construction of the homes for the children”. Many would say that my faith is too basic, that it can’t be that easy. I don’t have the
time or strength to make it hard. I have known from the beginning that I can’t do this, that if the things that God has shown me are to be, He will have to make them happen. There are 34 children to feed, clothe, send to school and LOVE. I can’t do this, but God can. Don’t get me wrong, this is hard work, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but FAITH, that’s the easy part.

Look at this face. This is Dolly, the third child that God brought to Patti Sue at Casa de Fe. God used her to reveal an amazing truth about Himself and His King-dom. Dolly is 5 years old – she will never walk, she will never talk – she will always be like a 6- month old. The world has no patience for Dolly or children like her. The world has no use for Dolly. Now look at her face again – look deep into her eyes (I wish you could be holding her right now, as you do). Can you see the beautiful, joy-ful, holy, righteous and perfect spirit that God has put in her? She IS “fearfully and wonderfully made”, Psalm 139:14; God did not make a mistake with her. God LOVES her just the way she is! When I held her and looked into her eyes for the first time, that is what I saw so clearly and I will never be the same. When Christ returns, she will receive her perfect, resurrected body to go along with her per-fect, holy spirit, and she and I will hold hands and run together in praise and wor-ship of our awesome, loving God and King. When you read this, I will have just re-turned from my second trip to Casa de Fe. Thanks to Dolly, I better understand verses like Romans 8:6 where Paul said “to be carnally minded (to see Dolly like the world sees Dolly) is death; but to be spiritually minded (to see Dolly as she really is) is LIFE and PEACE.” I feel soooo alive at Casa de Fe. God’s hand is all over this place. If you come to Casa de Fe, you will see life like you have never seen it before – and you will never be the same. Good Lord willing, I will be coming back! Ivan is a rough-and-tumble all boy, boy. He is always right in the middle of whatever is going on in the boys’ house. He is in pre-kinder at school with Moisés, Jefferson and Galo. Edy is a bit more reserved, usually sitting back, tak-ing it all in but somehow when I go into the boys’ house he always seems to make his way to me and look up with those big brown eyes. It is amazing how just a hug given in Jesus’ name can bring a smile to a child’s face. Jesus said ”So you also when you have done
everything you were told to do should say, “We are
unworthy servants: we have only done our duty.”
