IDX Declaration of Transportation
IATA Dangerous Good Regulations, 54th Edition, 1st January 2013 IDX hereby declare that the Lithium Ion Battery Packs listed in the table below are suitable for transport by air as non-restricted articles under the regulations of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The tests for United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods have also passed the products. Consequently, these batteries may be transported as
carry-on baggage. They may not be transported as checked baggage. IDX products can be transported in accordance with the above regulations, but recommends that customers confirm with their carrier of choice to determine any local rules and policies before travelling. 2.3.3 Goods Acceptable with Operator Approval as Carry-on Baggage Only The following dangerous goods, as listed in 2.3.3.1 and 2.3.3.2, are permitted on aircraft as carry-on baggage only and with the approval of the operator(s). 2.3.3.2 Lithium Ion Batteries Lithium ion batteries exceeding a watt-hour rating of 100Wh but not exceeding 160Wh may be carried as spare batteries in carry-on baggage, or in equipment
2.3.5 Goods Acceptable without the Operator's Approval Dangerous goods, as listed in 2.3.5.1 through 2.3.5.11, are permitted on aircraft as baggage without the approval of the operator(s). 2.3.5.9.1 Portable electronic devices Watches, calculating machines, cameras, cellular phones, lap-top computers, camcorders, etc. containing batteries when carried by passengers or crew for personal use, which should be carried in carry-on baggage. Spare batteries must be individually protected to prevent short circuits by placement in the original retail packaging or by otherwise insulating terminals, e.g. by taping over exposed terminals or placing each battery in a separate plastic bag or protective pouch, and carried in carry-on baggage only. In addition, for lithium batteries, each installed or spare battery must not exceed the following: (a) for lithium metal or lithium alloy batteries, a lithium content of not more than 2 g; or (b) for lithium ion batteries, a watt-hour rating of not more than 100 Wh.

IDX batteries have passed UN Manual of Tests and Criteria, Part III, Subsection 38.3.
All IDX batteries have Wh rating marked on the outside of the battery.
Packed in strong outer packaging. No UN box necessary.
IDX Batteries and packaging are capable of withstanding a 1.2m drop test.
