ENVIRONMENT
To predict the impact of the proposed activities on the surrounding environment, the current baseline environmental status was studied by collecting the data and carrying out monitoring for the period of
January-13 to March-13.
The environmental quality has been analyzed with respect to ambient air quality, water quality, noise levels, soil characteristics, flora & fauna and parameters concerning human interest. Based on the data, the relevant impacts on various environmental components were also predicted by using appropriate mathematical models as well as impact assessment techniques. An appropriate environmental management plan was also delineated to minimize the adverse impacts. ENVIRONMENT
The ambient air quality monitoring was carried out at six AAQM locations, to assess existing sub regional air quality status during winter season in the month of January-13 to March-13.
Respirable dust sampler along with the analytical methods prescribed by CPCB was used for carrying out air quality monitoring. At all these sampling locations; PM10, SO2, NOx for 24 hours and NH3 and VOCs were monitored for 8 hours basis to enable the comparison with ambient air quality standards prescribed by the Central Pollution Control Board. The data on concentrations of various pollutants were processed for different statistical parameters like arithmetic mean, standard deviation, minimum and maximum concentration and various percentile values. Environment
Source of Air Pollution
The main source of emission will be flue gas emission due to combustion of fuel. At present, there is one flue gas stack of boiler and after expansion there will be addition of one stack of thermic fluid heater. Unit is also proposed to install one D.G. set of 50 kVA to fulfill power requirement in case of non-availability of power/emergency only. Thus, there will be total three flue stacks after expansion. There will not be At present LDO/HSD is used as fuel in boiler @400 lit/month and it will increase up to 2000 lit/month due to increase in overall working hours after expansion. After expansion, LDO @ 4000 Lit/month / HSD @ 3000 EIA study for Envee Drugs Pvt. Ltd.
San Envirotech Pvt. Ltd. in association with EQMS India Pvt. Ltd. Lit/month is use as a fuel in TFH. HSD will be used as a fuel in D.G. Set. The most probable emitted flue gas pollutants will be SPM, SO2 and NOx. Adequate height of chimney will be provided to all the stacks for proper Air Quality Modelling and Predictions
It is predicted that, the maximum contribution in GLCs, with units operating at full capacity, is 0.897 μg/m3, 0.193 μg/m3, 0.129 μg/m3 for PM, SO2 and NOx respectively 1 km away from project site (Source) in S direction. With this marginal contribution due to the project, the levels of SPM, SO2, and NOx will be below the 24–hourly ambient air quality standards for SO2 & NOx (80 μg/m3), PM (100 μg/m3) prescribed by CPCB. Environment
After expansion, quantity of total water consumption will be increased up to 19500 lit/day. Out of the total water requirement, 11550 lit/day will be fresh water and 7950 lit/day condensate water from evaporator, reuse for greenbelt. Fresh Water requirement will be mainly for process, utilities, washing, domestic purpose and will be fulfilled from existing bore well only. After expansion, there will be 5650 lit/day of industrial wastewater generation. Source of wastewater generation will be from process and utilities, RO reject and washing. It will be taken to ETP and after primary treatment; entire quantity will be evaporated in newly installed evaporator. Condensate from evaporator will be reuse for greenbelt development. Sewage generation will be 4000 lit/day, which will be disposed off to soak pit through septic tank. Thus, there will not be any major impact on the water environment due to proposed project. Hazardous Waste Management
The entire quantity of hazardous waste will be handled and disposed as per Hazardous Waste (Management, Handling and Trans boundary Movement) Rules'2008, amended time to time. After expansion, there will be total six types of hazardous wastes generation i.e. ETP sludge, Evaporation residue/salt, spent charcoal, discarded drums/barrels/bags, EIA study for Envee Drugs Pvt.
